More (Rational?) Compelling Reasons to be Unreasonable

Our long-standing book club met this week and discussed [*The Political Brain*](http://www.thepoliticalbrain.com/videos.php), by Drew Westen. Westen is a psychologist and political strategy consultant. It’s a provocative book arguing that the Republicans keep winning elections because they aim at the voter’s emotional side of the brain rather than their reasoning powers.
